The Franklin County Jets a non-profit, AAU and USATF affiliated youth running team in Washington, coached & organized by Mason Duchatschek, Stacey Ayers & other volunteers. All coaches have AAU/USATF credentials and have completed background checks & safesport training.
We have partnered with The Jefferson County Jets Track Club in Festus. The Jeffco Jets have a long history of training athletes in a wide range of track and XC events and they have produced many collegiate and even a few Olympic-level athletes.
Jets Spring Training starts March 26th. We meet at 5:45 pm at the Washington High School Track.
Because of frequent scheduling conflicts for the coaches this season, we are doing things a bit differently this year. However, we still want to give kids an opportunity to improve their fitness, make new friends and develop their self confidence.
Our plan is to offer training to kids twice per week, from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on March 26th.
There are an abundance of optional racing opportunities to kids at St. Louis track meets and other races, but our main goal is to encourage kids to improve their fitness.
If kids want to order racing jerseys or enter optional races, those options and schedules will be made available. There are usually nominal fees for entry which vary by event and location.
For insurance purposes, runners must have a 2019/2020 AAU Card.
